Warrior Speed Leveling Guide

If you're looking for some detailed advice to help you with leveling your warrior, then this guide was written for you. Specifically, we're going to give you some general information on the class, which talent spec is best for leveling, and finish with some leveling tips and techniques specific to the warrior class. By the time you've finished reading this guide, you'll be better equipped for leveling a warrior quickly.

Let's get started.

The warrior class is designed to be one of the toughest melee classes in WoW, and as such, they are equipped with the highest protection against physical damage. You can wear mail armor from level 1, and you graduate to plate at level 40. Also, warrior is the only class in WoW (apart from a druid in bear form) who uses “rage” to perform powerful damaging techniques. As the warrior takes and deals damage, the rage bar becomes full and allows the use of powerful attacks which require X amount of rage. More devastating moves usually take more rage to perform.

Also, warriors are one of the few classes who can wield two-handed weapons. In fact, when specced into deep fury, a warrior can even duel-wield two handed weapons.

So what is the best build for leveling your warrior, and what are each talent trees best suited for? If you're looking for high DPS (damage per second) you'll want to spec fury. This is also the fastest tree to use for leveling, as it specializes in powerful attacks and plenty of rage generation.

Another useful talent tree for the warrior is protection. While your damage is restricted compared to the other talent trees, the prot warrior plays the role of “tank” - which protects the party and holds aggro on the mobs so your party can kill them. This isn't a good spec if you're leveling solo, but if you're doing plenty of instances with friends then it can be very useful for your party to have you as a protection warrior.

Finally, we have the arms spec. This is primarily a PVP spec due to the mortal strike skill. This skill reduces the ability for enemies to heal by 50%, and is crucial for being able to kill healing class.

Now we are going to talk about some leveling tips and techniques for your warrior. Firstly, you need to know about what kind of gear you should equip. If you're below level 40, you will need to wear mail. As soon as you hit level 40 you should switch to plate gear for added protection. The stats you will be looking for as a warrior are strength and stamina. You can also benefit from attack power gear.

One tip to keep in mind when solo leveling is to try to keep your rage high in between hiding mobs. It will gradually tick down while you're out of combat, and certain finishing moves such as execute drain all of your rage. Try to refrain from using execute on every mob, and instead, finish a mob with a few auto attacks to generate enough rage to do higher damage on the next one. Also, use your intercept and charge skills to get close to a new mob quickly, and also gain a little free rage.

To summarize, this guide has shown you some of the basic fundamentals of playing the warrior class, and given you some valuable tips on how to leveling quicker. Now that you've read this guide, you should be better prepared to level as fast as you want to.
